I've been using electronic cigarettes for about a year now, and actually prefer them to "analog" cigs.
E-cigs were not designed as a quitting device, it's simply an alternative. However, you can choose the nicotine level and, with discipline (I suppose) gradually ween yourself off of the nicotine.

OK, so up-front it's going to be a little painful (financially) but after the initial "investment" things work out to be MUCH cheaper than analog cigs.
To give you an snap-shot, I use to smoke a pack a day, which as of this writing, goes for about $7.00, so that's 7 x 30 = 210 per month. Now with ecigs, I go through about one and a half big bottles (30 ml) of smoke juice a month, and about 2 atomizers. So E-NI adds up to about $50 per month.
And the best part is that I can smoke anywhere. Yup, I've smoked at concerts, on airplanes, at the movies, and in the mall. It's like it's 1980 all over again!
I've probably plunked down, ooOOOoohh a trillion dollars trying to find out what works for me. I think I've tried just about all of the "systems" out there.
Why do I call them "systems"? Well, because everything is so wide open and there's no clear "brand" or single company that has clearly created a combination of parts and pieces that work without all the hassles. Plus there are a bunch of folks out there "moding" or creating their own combination of parts... Frankensteins if you will.
In other words, all the components are made in China, and a bunch of small companies special order parts and have their name printed on these parts to make it look like they actually manufacture the "system" but in reality, the same company (or Chinese town :) makes the basic parts. And the batteries are all pretty much standard rechargeable batteries. Well, maybe not so "standard" but you get the point.
Anyway, there are a few companies out there that have a unified "product" such as Instead, Wicked, Blu.

These are the best "systems" out there:

Available at:
- Janty
- Wicked
- Vapor Pro
(Wicked re-brands the eGo as the Tornado)
|
eGo
Starter Kit ($80)
A great kit that includes everything you need. eGo systems are great because they use the tried-and-true "510" (Joye, Titan) componants such as atomizers and cartriges.
I currently use this system. |

Available at:
- Wicked
- Vapor Pro |
Joye 510 (Titan)
Starter Kit ($60)
This will get you up and running, but you'll eventually have to get a few additional items if you decide to "go pro".

Smoke Juice ($9.95)
Johnson's smoke juice is the only brand that doesn't have a flavor you have to "get use to". Johnson's has a nice variety, and the special flavors, like cherry and chocolate are great breaks to change things up once in a while. |
